2. Helping someone out is so rewarding
By sheer chance I met someone who wanted their house professionally photographed for a magazine and I happened to know someone who worked for that magazine. I put the two together and it made me feel good! Tiny efforts for you can make a big impact on someone else's life.
3. It's good for your health
How many people do you know that could comfortably sit in a room with a bunch of strangers and just start chatting away? Talking to new people, especially in such a friendly, welcoming setting like on a dog walk, can be extremely liberating. It will help you get over your fear of being judged and you can take this skill everywhere.
5. You might just learn something
Everyone is an expert at something, right? Take a minute, listen, and hopefully learn something along the way. You have no idea what these people have done before, or how they might be able to help you in the future!
6. Gain a fresh perspective, and benefit from it
We gain more from talking to new people than we think. Fresh perspectives, different experiences, new opinions, new advice. You can expand your mind, gain knowledge and make a new friend all at the same time!
Here's hoping you find someone that you'd definitely want to walk with again!
